If you are looking for a scooter, Razor can offer your various attractive models for every price range. If you are not sure about which one to choose, continue reading below. You can find the differences and comparisons between these two models below, along with the recommendation about which one to choose.

Razor A3 is the smaller one out of the two. After fully assembled, the dimensions are 30” x 13” x 35.5” and the weight is 8 lbs. Razor A3 features a strong and sturdy construction featuring an aircraft-grade aluminum t-tube and deck, urethane wheels with ABEC-5 bearings, and a folding mechanism that will allow you to fold the scooter for easy storage and travel. On the other hand, Razor A5 is quite considerably larger at 35” x 21” x 41”, though the weight is only slightly heavier at 8.5 lbs. It also features an aircraft-grade aluminum t-tube and deck for superior ruggedness and durability and the folding mechanism for easy storage and travel. However, it has extra-large urethane wheels, which can give better acceleration, stability, and comfort.

However, Razor A5 is only available in two color variants, which are blue and silver. Razor A3 is available in more color variants, with black, red, green, and blue choices available.

Maximum Weight Capacity
As indicated by the overall dimensions, Razor A5 can indeed hold more weight than Razor A3. Razor A3 can only support a rider of up to 143 lbs. It is recommended for children from five years age and above. Meanwhile, Razor A5 is able to support a rider up to 220 lbs. As you can see, the weight tolerance is quite significant here. Because of that, too, Razor A5 is more suitable than Razor A3 for adult users, and is recommended for children from eight years age and above.

Actually, the features implemented in these models are quite similar. We have mentioned above that both of these scooters are foldable. In addition, each of them also has a rear fender brake and adjustable handlebars. However, the larger wheels of Razor A5 can give better acceleration, so it can move faster than Razor A3.
