Razor E90 and Razor E200 are two electric scooters made by the same manufacturer. Razor E90, available at a slightly lower price point, is an electric scooter designed specifically for kids. This model is lightweight and rather small. On the other hand, Razor E200 is more expensive, as it is made for older children and adults. It is certainly bigger and heavier. Design and Construction
Both Razor E90 and Razor E200 boast all-steel frames and forks for the best ruggedness and durability. However, Razor E90 is indeed smaller and lighter than Razor E200. The body of Razor E90 measures by 31” x 14” x 33” and weighs just 21.75 lbs. On the other hand, Razor E200 measures by 37” x 16” x 42” and weighs 40 lbs. As you can see, the differences are quite significant. A small kid will be able to handle Razor E90 more easily because it is much smaller and more lightweight, but will find difficulties in order to take Razor E200. On the contrary, an older kid or adult will not fit on Razor E90 and instead should choose Razor E200. Razor E90 is recommended for users of at least eight years old with 120 lbs maximum weight. Razor E90 is equipped with solid urethane wheels, whereas Razor E200 with large 8” pneumatic tires. Hence, you may feel more comfortable riding on Razor E200 than on Razor E90. The ride will be smoother as pneumatic tires are much more effective in attenuating road impacts than solid wheels. Razor E90 still relies on a push-button throttle to accelerate and a rear foot brake to decelerate. On the other hand, Razor E200 resembles more of the controls of a bike, featuring a twist-grip throttle and a hand-operated rear brake. Each of them has a kick stand.
Powered by a single 12V rechargeable battery, Razor E90 is able to run continuously for up to 40 minutes with a top speed of 9 mph. On the other hand, Razor E200 comes with a pair of 12V rechargeable batteries. It also has a maximum battery life of 40 minutes, but it has a maximum speed of 12 mph. So, even though the battery life is the same, it can actually cover more area and move faster.
For a young kid, Razor E90 is more suitable. The compact and lightweight design will make it easier to use. However, older children and adults should choose Razor E200 instead, which is a full-size model with better features and performance.
